From Morocco to Yemen and every nation in between, these are the faces
of the ordinary people who are being affected by the dramatic changes that
the world is witnessing in the region. In calmer times, they are ordinary
people, preparing food, selling dates, making hats, driving taxis, working
with metal or selling spices. They make Korans or build furniture. They
play games and they watch over their beloved cities. They have hopes and
dreams and many of them are driving the change to make those aspirations
come true. Regrettably, many of them are paying high prices to make their
corner of the world a little brighter.
